When it comes to difficult emotions there seems to be two ditches we end up in. Either we stuff them down & subconsciously act like negative emotions are not appropriate for God’s people or we listen to them rather than preaching to them. Rather then fighting to apply the truth of God to our feelings we just go along for the ride. We all experience difficult emotions and the Psalms provide us a Biblical model for processing those emotions alongside of the hope of the gospel.
