James 4:8 says “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to
you.” It is the character of God that He desires to be close to His
people. What an amazing thought. He is not a distant judge or
dispassionate clockmaker but a loving Father who longs to be
close to His children. Through the work of Christ, a way has been
made for us to draw near to God not in fear, but with boldness
and confidence to receive help in time of need. God desires to be
close to us and Christ has made a way for that to happen. All that
is left is for us to draw near. 21 Days of Prayer is about accepting
God’s invitation to draw near to him both individually and as a
church. This guide is a tool to help us do that. Each day includes
scripture to meditate on and prompts to pray for. On Wednesdays
you’re invited to join our church in fasting and on Saturday,
August 12th you’re invited to join us for our 2023 Discipleship
Conference, the theme of which is prayer.
