ATTENDANCE

Two Cities Church has experienced a 38% increase in attendance over the last 10 months. The average Fall 2017 attendance at Two Cities is 467 people.

COMMUNITY GROUPS

We currently have 300 people actively involved in 21 Community Groups each week.

DNA GROUPS

There are 150 people meeting throughout the Winston-Salem area in personal and intentional DNA Groups.

BAPTISM

Since launching as a church in September 2016, we’ve had 30 people go public with their faith through baptism.

MISSIONS TEAMS

We’ve sent two teams of a total of 11 people on foreign missions trips.

Before coming to Two Cities, I knew what it meant to believe in Jesus Christ and had a substantial understanding of evidence that supports that claim, but I had no experience in what it means to have a relationship with Christ. I had been walking apathetically in my faith, turning to whatever seemed most true and convenient in the moment. On Easter Day of 2017, by no matter of coincidence, I ended up at the 5:30 service of Two Cities Church, where Kyle spoke about Jesus Christ obeying God in my place. He summarized the message of Easter explaining, “When you see the Cross, remember how much God loves you, and remember how much God hates sin.”

I was undergoing a complete paradigm shift throughout the service, but one experience sticks out to me that truly changed my faith. At the end of the service, David asked those of us who felt we had received an explanation of the sacrifice and victory of Jesus, but wanted a relationship with Christ, to raise their hands. In a moment of anxiety, but  complete certainty, I raised my hand. From that moment on, I have never looked back in my walk with God. Two Cities allowed me to receive Christ’s sacrifice with its rightful meaning, and has welcomed me with open arms, giving me constant encouragement and community in taking my first steps as a true Christian.

WHAT IS

The Deep & Wide Initiative is a comprehensive vision and plan for discipleship, mission, and expansion in 2018. While gaining a permanent gathering space is central to this initiative, it’s not the end goal.  At Two Cities, people are the mission, and it is through this facility that we will be able to establish ourselves fully in our community. We will be able to utilize all gathering spaces on campus to fully deepen and develop age-and-stage ministries, significantly increase seating capacities to reach the lost, and better serve the city and surrounding communities through mission.

THE CENTER: A gospel-centered life
We want everyone to be changed by the power of the gospel. This means taking ourselves off the throne
of our lives and putting God on the throne. When the gospel is the center of one’s life, it rede nes everything about that person, including the trajectory of his or her career, family, and future.
THE SPOKES: Fruit of the gospel
The gospel takes dead people and makes them alive — and that is no small change! When the gospel becomes the center of one’s life, it starts to work its way from the inside out. These six spokes represent six key areas that one can assess if and how the gospel is advancing in one’s life.
A WARNING: Keeping the main thing the main thing
The gospel is the center of the wheel, not the spokes. Although one can measure his or her growth in the gospel by assessing these six spokes, the goal is to grow deeper in the gospel, not to master a spoke.
THE GOAL: Gospel-motivatedtransformation

A wheel works best when it’s full and balanced. Growing in just two or three spokes does not improve a wheel; it actually makes it worse. In the same way, gospel-centered growth in all of these areas puts God’s glory on display in the life of a disciple of Jesus Christ.

Our primary goal with this initiative is 100% participation of the people who attend Two Cities to go Deep & Wide before  God  and  have  a  life-changing  encounter  with  him  as  it relates  to  their  generosity.   

Our secondary goal  is  $250,000  in  generous  one-time gifts, above and beyond regular tithes and offerings  to  do  what  we  believe  God  is  calling  us  to  do  to go Deep & Wide.

The generosity ladder

Legacy giver
Legacy givers are thinking past this year and moving toward long-term impact for their local church, their family, and eternity. They make decisions in the short-term that have longer-term effects on their giving capacity. Legacy givers consider the impact that every personal asset has on their ability to be generous. This person is no longer asking the question, “God, how much are you asking me to give?” Instead, this person is asking, “God, how much are you asking me to keep?”
Sacrificial giver
Someone who is no longer thinking, “What am I supposed to give?” but rather “What am I not giving and why?” This person is less concerned about the 10 or 15 percent and more concerned about the 90 or 85 percent. Sacri cial givers decide to make changes that cost them something in their lifestyle.
Intentional Giver
Intentional givers think about their giving in relation to other things they spend their money on. They consider a percentage or amount they want to consciously grow in their generosity. Intentional givers look at their budget and consider how their giving re ects their view of God and commitment to build his Kingdom.
Consistent Giver
Someone who is a regular giver, giving many times through recurring payments online. Consistent givers start to think of their giving in the same way they would about other expenses in their budget that are paid regardless of seasons of feast or famine.

Someone who has not yet given to Two Cities Church.
